Happy New Year, everyone! I probably say this every year (and I mean it every year) but wow, I cannot believe that another year has gone by already. I had a really nice holiday with family, though I did get sick right after Christmas. It was really lingering for a while but this week I feel like I am finally starting to get back on my feet healthwise. I am not a huge fan of resolutions but I do like to set myself some goals at the beginning of the year. Below are some of the things I’d like to… Read more »

Hello! February truly is a short month. Even with the extra leap day this year, February has just flown by. Sorry for the lack of posts in the last couple of weeks. Life has been a little crazy. I got in a pretty big car accident (if you recall I was in one last year as well) and now I’ve caught something like bronchitis. I lost my voice for 3 days or so, which was really strange as I have never lost my voice before. Amidst all of this, I lost a bit of my reading mojo. Mostly I was… Read more »
It’s a new year which means it’s time to make a plan for my 2016 reading goals. I am not a huge stickler when it comes to my reading. I tend to go where my mood takes me. However, I do like to set some goals for myself just to give myself an idea of what I’d like to get accomplished during the year… Read more >>
Organizing. Organizing always seems to be my umbrella goal whether it’s my schedule, my books, my room, my kitchen or my life. I just want to be organized! In 2015 I really stepped up my organization game and decided to get a good old fashioned, put pen to paper, write everything down planner. Not only has it been a huge help in organizing my weekly schedule, I forgot how much I love to have an old fashioned planner! For some reason, putting an “event” or a “to-do list” in my phone just feels too tentative but if I actually write… Read more »
The holiday season is upon us and today I have a fun gift guide for you. These items would be great for the bookish person in your life or give the list to someone who doesn’t know what to get you. And I promise I won’t tell if you decide to get little something for yourself. ;)
I love a well written long-ass book; something I can really sink my teeth into, connect with all the characters and just fall in love with! Now what do I consider a long-ass book? Any book that is over 500 pages. As of now, 2016 doesn’t look as crazy as 2015 partly because my wedding is over and all of my big wedding things (engagement part, bridal shower and bachelorette party) all took place in 2015. Now I have all this time to read! So let me tell you about the ten long-ass books that I want to read next year!
As most of you who read this blog are aware, I am absolutely obsessed with Outlander! I love the books, I’ve watched season 1 about seventeen times now, I listen to Outlander related podcasts, I watch interviews, I keep up with new casting; I am in, the whole nine yards, I love it all! Guys, Starz has finally released a teaser trailer for season 2 and it has me like: I am smiling from ear to ear because it’s so good to see Claire and Jamie on the screen again!! So if you haven’t seen the new trailer yet, here… Read more »
Hi and welcome to What Does the Bookworm Say?, a feature where we discuss bookish topics with my friends at The Reader’s Antidote and The Windy Pages. Each week, we will discuss a new bookish topic. Sorry this week’s post is a bit late. The weekend just ran away from me and I haven’t had time to format this post until now. This week’s question is: what recent book(s) were you disappointed in?
Hey guys! Crystal here. I haven’t decided if this post is a cry for help or just a chance for me to fangirl over Outlander to anyone who will listen. I don’t know if “My Name is Crystal and I’m an Addict” is going to be a semi-regular thing where I tell you guys what I’m currently obsessed with but I just had to write up this post because I have fallen down an Outlander rabbit hole and I can’t get out (not that I want to either!). I, like some fans, had read part of the book by… Read more »
Hi and welcome to What Does the Bookworm Say?, a feature where I discuss bookish topics with my friends at The Reader’s Antidote, Books Unbound and The Windy Pages. Each week, we will discuss a new bookish topic. This week’s topic is: If I could live in any book world, which one would I choose? This post is a week late, but better late than never. This is kind of a tough question for me. I read a lot of books that have danger and peril which are very fun to read about, but would not be very fun to live in. With my luck, even… Read more »
