Favorite Films of 2015

Favorite Films of 2015

Hello there. Sorry for the last of posts this week. I totally meant to blog but, somehow, the week got away from me and now it’s Friday. I know it’s a bit late for a best of 2015 list (as it’s almost February) but I had this list made up a while ago and forgot to post it. I figured I would share it with all of you here just for fun. This wasn’t a great film year for me. I know there were lots of good movies released but many of them just didn’t interest and so I stuck… Read more »

10 Long-Ass Books I Want to Read in 2016

10 Long-Ass Books I Want to Read in 2016

I love a well written long-ass book; something I can really sink my teeth into, connect with all the characters and just fall in love with! Now what do I consider a long-ass book? Any book that is over 500 pages. As of now, 2016 doesn’t look as crazy as 2015 partly because my wedding is over and all of my big wedding things (engagement part, bridal shower and bachelorette party) all took place in 2015. Now I have all this time to read! So let me tell you about the ten long-ass books that I want to read next year!

What Does the Bookworm Say?: Scary Books

Hi and welcome to What Does the Bookworm Say?, a feature where I discuss bookish topics with my friends at The Reader’s Antidote, Books Unbound and The Windy Pages. Each week, we will discuss a new bookish topic. This week’s topic is scary books. What makes a book scary and what are some of your favorite scary books? What makes a book scary? That’s a hard question to answer and I think it’s going to be different for every person. While I love Halloween and horror movies, I realized that I haven’t read a lot of books that would be considered horror or scary. I find books with… Read more »

Fall Movie Picks

Fall Movie Picks

Hello! I can’t believe that fall is almost here. Where in the world did this year go? Fall is one of my favorite seasons though and I am looking forward to the cooler weather. Fall also means a shift from the big summer blockbuster movies into the more serious fall fare. Though I haven’t reviewed a movie in a long time, that doesn’t mean that I am not watching them. Going to the movies is one of my favorite activities and there are so many great movies coming out this fall that I thought I’d share some of my most… Read more »

Top Ten Covers That Need A Re-Do

Top Ten Covers That Need A Re-Do

Top Ten Tuesday is a super fun feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish each Tuesday. This week’s topic is Top Ten Covers You Would Redesign. Oooh, you guys know what a cover whore I am. I pick books by covers all the time. I read a lot of romance, which if rife with bad covers. Thank goodness for my Kindle because I will totally buy and ebook if a cover is particularly heinous. This is all my own opinion, of course, and I do not mean to hurt anyone’s feelings or disparage anyone’s hard work. They just aren’t… Read more »

Top Ten Sequels I Am Dying To Read

Top Ten Sequels I Am Dying To Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. I love lists and what’s better than lists about books? This week’s topic is Top Ten Sequels I Can’t Wait To Get My Hands On. I love standalone novels but I admit that I read more series than not. I am only listing series that I am caught up on (which was surprisingly a good amount). I am not usually one to pre-order books but this list made me want to go out and pre-order everything on the list. :) 1. The Fiery Heart by Richelle… Read more »
