Hello and welcome to Stacked, a weekly (or in this case, half yearly) post where I discuss what books I’ve recently bought, borrowed or received. It’s been quite a while since my last Stacked post. I’ve definitely been better on the book buying. I am really trying

Advance Review: Consumed by J.R. Ward

Advance Review: Consumed by J.R. Ward

Consumed is the latest novel from prolific author and fan fave J.R. Ward. This is the first book in her new Firefighters series, featuring a cast of characters who are, you guessed it, firefighters. This story focuses mainly on Ann Ashburn and Danny McGuire, fellow firefighters at the 499. While the chemistry between the two is scorching, Ann’s always shied away from any kind of romantic entanglement with a fellow firefighter, especially the charming and sexy as hell Danny McGuire. Danny’s known as a ladies man and Ann doesn’t want complications that could affect her work at the station…Read more »

Review: There’s Someone Inside Your House

Review: There’s Someone Inside Your House

I feel bad giving this one such a low rating but I couldn’t, in good conscience, recommend it to anyone. I was really excited to read this one and was bummed that it fell so far below my expectations. If you’ve never read Stephanie Perkins I would suggest picking up one of her previous novels first. If you read this first, you may be turned off her books forever, which with be a shame. 2018 Reading (and Other) Goals

We are almost a week into 2018 and that’s when I usually set out my reading goals for the year. Last year I set my reading goal at 70 books, which I did not meet. While I don’t really care about the numbers, not meeting
