What Does the Bookworm Say?: Holiday Wishlist
Hi and welcome to What Does the Bookworm Say?, a feature where I discuss bookish topics with my friends at The Reader’s Antidote, Books Unbound and The Windy Pages. Each week, we will discuss a new bookish topic. This week’s topic is what books are on your wishlist this year!
Sorry this post is late but I had a crazy weekend and just didn’t have time to post. Like any bookish person, I love giving and receiving books as gifts. It’s actually pretty rare though that I get books as gifts. I think this is because I read a lot and most people aren’t sure of what I have and have not read yet, so opt for non-bookish gifts. All I can say to that is – gift receipts. :) Here are some of the books I am hoping Santa brings me this year.
Winterspell by Claire Legrand – I wanted to get this so badly at ALA this summer but never managed it. However, it’s out now and I still haven’t bought it. Look how pretty it is…
Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery (Puffin Edition) – I love all of the new Puffin Classics Rifle covers but Anne has a special place in my heart.
Saga Vol 1 by Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples (Deluxe HC Edition) – Love Saga and I really want this deluxe edition hardcover.
Chained by Night by Larissa Ione – Second book in Ione’s new series. I liked the first one and have heard that this one is even better.
Baking Chez Moi by Dorie Greenspan – I love baking and Dorrie Greenspan is one of my favorite writers and chefs. Her new book just came out and everything in it looks drool worthy.
What’s on your wishlist this year? Don’t forget to check out The Reader’s Antidote, Books Unbound and The Windy Pages to see what their answers are to today’s question.
