Uncovered (75): The Clockwork Scarab
Hello and happy Friday, everyone. Have you all been having a good week? Mine’s been alright and I am really glad that it’s Friday. For today’s Uncovered post I have a fall release by Colleen Gleason called The Clockwork Scarab. It’s a historical steampunk mystery featuring the niece of Sherlock Holmes and a relation of Bram Stoker’s. I mean how awesome does that pairing sound?
I actually requested this one from Netgalley just because of the cover. It’s really cool looking and screams steampunk to me. The clockwork beetle looks amazing and really detailed. Scarabs usually gross my out but I love this one. The color scheme is great and is dark but still colorful. I don’t have much else to say about this cover except it’s beautiful and I cannot wait to read this. I think I am going to wait until the fall to read it just because it’s set in London and I just feel like I’ll enjoy it more if I read it when it’s colder. :) Anyone else have this book on their TBR pile?
