Uncovered (137): Gold Runner

Who says you can’t judge a book by its cover? While it’s not the only factor in picking up a book, a pretty cover doesn’t hurt. Uncovered is a weekly post where I show some cover love. Hope you enjoy!

Hello and happy Friday! Sorry that today’s post is so late. It’s been a super crazy week trying to get everything done before the holidays and my blogging has been suffering. But today’s cover is an appropriately winter themed one. Gold Runner by Tessa Gratton is novella based on Norse mythology. I love this cover because it uses photography in a really interesting way. It’s a girl on the cover but is not the standard pretty dress theme. I love how the ice crystals are forming and creating some great patterns. The female model is also a bit unusual looking. I can’t really tell if she’s pretty or not but her face is certainly striking. Overall I just think that this is an unusual cover, which I appreciate. Gold Runner is the first in a collection of 3 novellas from Gratton. Has anyone read this yet?
