What Does the Bookworm Say?: Happy Holidays

Hi and welcome to What Does the Bookworm Say?, a feature where I discuss bookish topics with my friends at The Reader’s AntidoteBooks Unbound and The Windy Pages. Each week, we will discuss a new bookish topic. This week’s topic is all about the holidays! What are you holiday plans and/or what are you planning to read over the holidays?

This is probably going to be a short post since I don’t have any huge plans for the holiday break. I work in the entertainment industry, which is nice this time of year, because most places close for the week between Christmas and New Years. As usual, I am going home to see my family for the break. It’s a long-ish drive but does not require a plane flight which means that I can bring home lots of books. Really I just plan on sleeping, reading, and hopefully eating a lot of Christmas cookies. I haven’t packed my books yet for the trip but I have been thinking about what I want to bring home to read with me. I don’t like to bring too many books just because they are heavy and I’ll undoubtedly end up buying some while I am there. The blog may be quiet for the next couple of weeks while I enjoy some family time. But I will still be on Instagram and Twitter if anyone wants to chat or keep up with me.

Let me know what you guys are up to this holiday season. Do you have a stack of Christmas movies that you need to watch? My favorites are Die Hard (it’s totally a Christmas movie!) and Elf. And do you spend a lot of time agonizing over what books to bring on vacation with you? How do you decide what comes and what stays at home?

Don’t forget to check out The Reader’s AntidoteBooks Unbound and The Windy Pages to see what their answers are to today’s question. Happy holidays!
