Trailer: Cinderella

Disney just released the first trailer for their upcoming live action adaptation of Cinderella. What do you guys think?

Personally, while I think this looks great visually (love those costumes!), I don’t see anything here that would really compel me to see the film. I love a good fairy tale but this doesn’t seem to tread any new or innovative ground. Cate Blanchett is a draw and it’s directed by Kenneth Branaugh so there’s a good chance I’ll probably go see it at some point despite my ho-hum response to this trailer. I just want to manage my expectations. Watching this trailer did make me want to re-watch Ever After though. Love that movie…
