Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and The Story Siren, Stacked is a weekly post where I share with you the books that I’ve bought, borrowed or received for the week.

I hope everyone has been having a good weekend. I am a bit bummed that the holidays are officially over. I have been having a hard time adjusting back to my early morning schedule but I am slowly getting back into it. One of my reading goals for this year are to read more of the books that I already have. That means I don’t have a lot of new book purchases, but it doesn’t mean that I haven’t enhanced my bookshelves. I received a couple of late Christmas gifts and hit up my local library. Let’s see what I got, shall we?

The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett – This is the Puffin UK edition that B&N is now selling. There’s a whole series of classic books with gorgeous covers. I have never actually read The Secret Garden and am excited to own this beautiful edition.

Little Women by Lousia May Alcott – This edition has a beautiful cover by Rifle Paper Co. This whole series is stunning. I haven’t read this book in a long time and plan to re-read it this year.

Black Widow: A Finely Woven Thread by Nathan Edmondson and Phil Noto – I am not a huge Black Widow fan but recently read a storyline by Marjorie Liu I really enjoyed. My friend recommended this volume. In it, Black Widow goes back to Russia to Russia as an undercover agent. Artwork in this one is fantastic.

Batgirl, Vol. 1: Silent Running by Kelley Puckett, Scott Peterson, Damion Scott (Illustrator), Robert Campanella (Illustrator) – This was another recommendation from my friend. I don’t know much about Batgirl and wanted a good intro to the character.

Alex + Ada, Vol. 1 by Jonathan Luna and Sarah Vaughn – This is a sci fi comic series about a man and an android how is more than she seems. This series has gotten rave reviews and I have several friends who have recommended it.

2015 is off to a good start so far and I’ve already read a couple of good books. Hoping I can keep with my goal of reading from my own bookshelves. What’s new in your mailbox this week?
