Falling For Books Recap

fallingforbooksreadathon
Hi, there. I am officially back from vacation today. It’s been super hard to get out of vacation mode, especially since it’s a rainy day here in LA. Yes, I said rainy. How often does that happen? I feel like we should get rain days just so that we can enjoy it (and to avoid crazy drivers who don’t know what to do when the ground is wet). As you may recall, I decided to participate in the Falling Into Books Read-A-Thon challenge hosted by The Reader’s Antidote. I knew I was going to have some down time over Thanksgiving break and wanted to challenge myself to get some reading done. I think I have 5 books today for my 2014 reading challenge and last week definitely helped me get closer to my goal. Just a note that I also fudged a bit on this challenge. It was supposed to end on November 30 at midnight but I let myself go til December 1.

What I read:

The Beast of Blackmoor by Milla Vane (novella in Night Shift anthology I was reading) – 123 pages
The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver – 302 pages
The 500 by Matthew Quirk – 150 pages (started listening to this audiobook over Thanksgiving and I think I am about halfway through so giving myself a little less than half the # of pages)

Total pages read:
575

That’s not too bad. I mean I read one whole book plus a good chunk of two others. 2014 is almost at an end. I need to step up my game if I am going to complete my reading goals. How is everyone else doing with their reading goals??
