First Trailer: X-Men: Days of Future Past

First Trailer: X-Men: Days of Future Past

Hi, guys. Fox recently released the first trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past. I am really excited about this movie. X-Men was my favorite comic books series when I was a teenager. Days of Future past was a really big deal at the time and I am glad to see that it’s finally making its way into the X movies. This trailer feels very ominous and it’s really cool to see both generations of the X-Men cast. Bishop looks awesome and I can’t wait to see what new characters pop up. A new trailer for Paul Pope’s Battling Boy has been released. This looks like an insanely fun book and the graphics are fantastic. Seeing it animated like this makes me think that it would make a great animated show. Can’t wait for this graphic novel to be released later this year. Comic-Con 2013 Spotlight: The Comics

Hello, everyone. Welcome to another spotlight post for Comic-Con 2013. This post is focusing on the comics. It is Comic-Con after all.  I’ve been reading comics since I was a kid. I’ve always thought that they were a really wonderful medium that didn’t get enough respect. But these days it seems like comic books and comic properties are everywhere. And judging but some of the films and shows coming out next year, I think this trend is going to continue. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that these popular franchises are based on comic books. I don’t read as many comics… Read more »

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’d Recommend To Someone Who Doesn’t Read Comics

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme created by the folks over at The Broke and the Bookish. To sign up or find out more about it, visit the Top Ten Tuesday page. This week’s topic is Books I’d Recommend To Someone Who Doesn’t Read X. X can be any category you pick so I am choosing Comics/Graphic Novels. The terms comics and graphic novels have sort of become interchangeable over the years, even though technically I think they’re a bit different. Comics generally come out in serialized form (like once a month, once very two months, etc.) whereas graphic novels are created to… Read more »
