Stacked (143): #YALLWEST Edition

Hello and welcome to Stacked, a weekly (usually) post where I discuss what books I’ve recently bought, borrowed or received. This week’s haul is brought to you by YALLWEST. My haul is actually pretty small. While the event had a ton of awesome authors, I’ve been lucky enough to see most of them in person before so I didn’t have a ton of books that I needed to get. I also didn’t want to cart around 50 lbs of books so this is a small, but awesome little stack this week.

The Ruby Circle by Richelle Mead – One of the last Mead books that I needed to get signed. I also realized too late that I need to get a copy of The Fiery Heart signed but I guess I’ll just have to wait for her next visit. Also, Richelle is a rock star and signed books for over 2 hours.

Fairest by Marissa Meyer – I put off buying this until I knew Meyer was going to be in town. I love the Lunar Chronicles series and while I have no love for Leavana, I am interested to learn her origins.

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff – I was lucky enough to snag an ARC of this from the Epic Reads crew. I am not sure what this book is about but looking inside it is a bit intense. I think it’s written out in sort of case file style with lots of documents and emails. It’ll be an interesting read for sure.

I had a great time at YALLWEST. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen a few pics that I posted. I’ll be posting more pics and a small recap in the near future. Did anyone else make it out to YALLWEST? I hope the event comes back again next year.
