Uncovered (141): Vengeance Road

Who says you can’t judge a book by its cover? While it’s not the only factor in picking up a book, a pretty cover doesn’t hurt. Uncovered is a weekly post where I show some cover love. Enjoy!

Hi, everyone! Man it’s been a few weeks since my last cover post.  I am not sure what happened, as I actually started the post for this week’s cover when I first saw it several weeks ago. Anyway, this cover for Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman is AWESOME. I love how detailed the illustration is. I like the disparity between the pretty, feminine flowers and the animals bones and guns. The font is fantastic and makes me think of a vintage ad. The whole thing has a bit of a western vibe, which I like and the colors are also unusual. I have a feeling that this cover is going to be even more beautiful in person when you will be able to see all of the small details in the illustration. I really cannot wait to get my hands on this one.
