Uncovered (135): Things We Know By Heart
Who says you can’t judge a book by its cover? While it’s not the only factor in picking up a book, a pretty cover doesn’t hurt. Uncovered is a weekly post where I show some cover love. Enjoy!
Hello and happy pre-Thanksgiving Friday. For those in the U.S., Thanksgiving is next week. My posting may be a little sporadic next week since I’ll be spending a lot of time with my family and I don’t know how much I’ll be able to schedule before then. So if I don’t see you guys before Turkey Day, eat some mashed potatoes for me. Anyway…this week’s cover love goes out to Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby. This is a really simple cover but I love it. First, love the background and the handstamped/painted quality of it. If you look closely you can see that they are hearts, starting from a human looking heart and morphing into our standard symbol for a heart. It just looks cool an I kind of wish i had wrapping paper like it. As you know, I also love some good fonts and, though this one is basic, I think it goes well with the background. I also love that the heart drawing is part of the title.
Isn’t this cover cute? I can’t wait to see it in person. Sadly that won’t be until next year but I am sure I’ll find some other pretties to keep me occupied until then. Happy Friday, everyone!
