Stacked (162)
Hello and welcome to Stacked, a weekly (or in this case, half yearly) post where I discuss what books I’ve recently bought, borrowed or received. It’s been quite a while since my last Stacked post. I’ve definitely been better on the book buying. I am really trying to read the books I currently already have or at least buy e-books when possible so that the books don’t overrun my apartment. I can’t believe that summer is just about over. I don’t know where time is going. Things are still tough at home but I am trying to hang in there. Books and reading certainly help. Without further adieu, here is a look at some of the books I’ve received recently.
Cherish Hard by Nalini Singh – The first of 2 Nalini Singh books I got recently. This was one was purchased right when it came out this week. I just finished it last night and I can say that I highly recommend it. It’s a sweet, sexy story about an arranged marriage that doesn’t go quite as planned but ends up with a happily ever after. Loved both of the main characters and this book will definitely have you craving Indian food by the time you’re done. Hopefully I’ll have a review up soon.
Archangel’s Prophecy by Nalini Singh – The 11th book in Singh’s Guild Hunter series and I can’t wait to read it. I may have to do a quick flip through the previous book in the series just to remind myself where we left off, but I am looking forward to this. I have to finish a couple of more books before I can start this. :(
Beautiful Sinner by Sophie Jordan – I only recently got turned onto this series and I am a huge fan. It centers around characters who have a connection to Devil’s Rock prison. I think I’ve read 2 books in the series so far and I’ve really enjoyed both. Hopefully this one lives up to my expectations.
Cravings: Hungry For More by Chrissy Teigen – I think Chrissy Teigen is hilarious and gorgeous and I love that she doesn’t let the trolls get to her. I have her first cookbook, which I like a lot, and couldn’t resist getting her new cookbook when it came out this week. I am excited to actually sit down with this. Maybe I’ll have time to cook something from it this weekend. Also, did you guys know that Chrissy just dropped a line of home goods at Target? I don’t need any more kitchen stuff right now but I’ll probably take a look at the collection the next time I am in Target.
That’s my bookish haul this week. Let me know what books you’ve gotten recently. I’d love to know! Have a great weekend!
