Stacked (130)
Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and The Story Siren, Stacked is a weekly post where I share with you the books that I’ve bought, borrowed or received for the week.
Hello and happy Sunday! I hope everyone is doing grand. I’ve been feeling a little under the weather all week and have been trying to rest as much as possible this weekend. I really don’t want to be sick during Thanksgiving next week. So far, so good. I haven’t gotten any worse. Good things I have some good books to keep me occupied during my rest time. :)
For Review
The Secrets of Sir Richard Kenworthy by Julia Quinn – Julia Quinn is one of my most favorite romance authors and I could not resist her newest book when I saw it on Edelweiss.
Diary of an Accidental Wallflower by Jennifer McQuiston – This author was actually a recommendation from Julia Quinn’s Facebook page. I have never read any of McQuiston’s books before but have high hopes for this one. I love stories about wallflowers.
Taken with You by Shannon Stacey (audiobook) – Received a digital download of this audiobook from Audible Studios for review. This is the 8th book in Stacey’s Kowalski’s series. I have a read a few of these and liked them but admit to being woefully behind. But that’s alright. I am pretty sure I’ll be OK reading these out of order. I think I’ll save this one for my drive to my parent’s house on Thanksgiving.
Borrowed
Thanks to my bookish pal Kimberly for letting my borrow these next two books.
Forbidden by Kimberly Griffiths Little – I have heard some good things about this one and I like that it is set in Mesopotamia. Should be an interesting read.
The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver – I am kind of fascinated by twins (both identical and fraternal) and think that this book about a twin taking over the identity of her sister pretty intriguing.
Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson – This was chosen as our next book club book. I really don’t know much about it except that one of my friends really loves it.
That’s my book haulage (yeah I made that up) for this week. Let me know what books you are excited about this week!
