December 2018 Recap
Hi, everyone. Sorry I was MIA for the last couple of months. I think the holidays just took over and I wasn’t really in the mood to post. I was hoping to post a little before the end of the year but, as you can see, that totally didn’t happen. But happy new year! I hope that you all had a nice holiday, if you celebrate. It was definitely a difficult one this year without my dad.
I can’t believe that January is almost over! I have had this post in my drafts for almost a month. In order to get this one out quickly, I am just going to post a few pics of what I’ve been up to for the last couple of months.
I took a fun little day trip with my mom up to Pacific Grove, CA. It’s a coastal town close to Monterey. We visited Point Pinos Lighthouse which was really cool. I don’t know if I’ve ever been in an actual lighthouse before so it was really interested to take a look around. I don’t know, I feel like I might have liked the life of a lighthouse keeper.
I also visited several yarn shops while home on break. I was pretty good and didn’t actually buy much yarn but it’s always fun to visit the shops and see what’s out there. Top pic is from A Verb For Keeping Warm in Oakland and the second is from Avenue Yarns in Albany.
We also took a trip up to San Francisco for a day where we hung out at the Ferry Building. If you’ve never been, it’s a super cool spot on the pier with tons of places to eat and a few little shops. I stopped by Book Passage (above) for a little book browsing.
One of the first books I read in 2019 was My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren. If you’ve been around the blog you probably know that I am a huge fan of Christina Lauren. I really loved this sweet and hilarious story about friends turned lovers. I would highly recommend it.
I am stopping now because if I don’t, I will never get this out. Also, anyone else on WordPress kind of confused by the new editing format? I need to do some testing to see how it works. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and January. Hopefully I’ll be back to posting more regularly soon.
