Manicure Monday (100): The Chaos of Stars

Hi and welcome to Manicure Monday, a feature that combines my love of reading and nail polish. Each week I’ll showcase one of my current reads along with a matching book manicure. It has been a while since my last manicure post. I really haven’t been feeling the nail art inspiration lately and have not been painting my nails all that much. However, I started a book with a great cover recently which inspired this look.

This week’s manicure was inspired by The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White. Unfortunately I only have a digital copy of this book so I didn’t get any pics of the cover and my nails together.

September Kindle Steals & Deals

Hi, everyone. It’s been quite a while since my last sale post. Truthfully I’ve been trying to stay away from buying new eBooks since I already have such a huge backlog of unread ones. That doesn’t mean that you should all suffer though and I’ve noticed a few really good sales lately. I don’t know how long all of these books will be on sale so if you see something you like, I would get it sooner rather than later. Also, these all link to the Amazon Kindle editions because I have a Kindle but these books may be on sale on other digital platforms as well. Review: Batwoman, Vol. 1: Hydrology

Children are disappearing from Gotham and people are whispering that it’s the ghost of woman haunted by her children’s deaths. Kate Kane (aka Batwoman) doesn’t know who’s taking the children, but she is on a mission to find them and bring them back to their families. Review: Night Film by Marisha Pessl

Night Film haunted me for almost a year with just the title and the cover alone. When it first popped up on my radar I was instantly drawn to it. I’m always down to read a good slow build mystery that has me guessing around every corner. When the story is really well written, I like to feel as if I’m the main character playing detective and trying to figure out the “who done it”. Night Film by Marisha Pessl literally had me hooked from the first page and left me completely in the dark (in a good way) throughout the whole of the story!
