What Does the Bookworm Say?: Blog Talk
Hi and welcome to What Does the Bookworm Say?, a feature where I discuss bookish topics with my friends at The Reader’s Antidote, Books Unbound and The Windy Pages. Each week, we will discuss a new bookish topic. This week’s topic is: if you were not blogging about books, what would you blog about (or would you not blog at all)?
Well it’s been a while since I had a Bookworm post. I am trying to get back in the swing of things though and this is a fun topic. I have actually tried blogging about other things before but I was never able to maintain any kind of consistency and, eventually, I fell off of blogging. For me, it was really hard to come up with regular content on the other blog but with reading, I don’t have that problem. While writing reviews can be hard at times, I always have a book I can review. I can always find something to post about when it comes to books. There are also a ton of great memes out there for book bloggers to participate in, which really helped me structure and schedule my blogging when I first started.
I’ve always thought it would be fun to blog about cooking/food, but I don’t have a lot of time to cook and I think it would take a lot of time (though it would be delicious). One of the things I tried to blog about previously was my knitting and crafting. If you follow me on social media at all you probably know that I am a hardcore knitter. I really like making things. I’ve tried over the years to blog about knitting but, like I said, it was really hard to remain consistent. However, I still love it and wanted to participate in the knitting community in a bigger way and started a knitting podcast with my friend a few months ago. This is my way of talking about my knitting and crafting adventures without having to take the time to blog about it. While a podcast still takes a lot of work, I find it to be easier to maintain than a blog. So if any of you are knitters out there, you can find us at Twisted Stitches.
Are there any other bloggers out there? What do you blog about? Leave a note and I’ll check you out.
Don’t forget to check out The Reader’s Antidote, Books Unbound and The Windy Pages to see what their answers are to today’s question.
