Uncovered (133): Miss Mayhem

Who says you can’t judge a book by its cover? While it’s not the only factor in picking up a book, a pretty cover doesn’t hurt. Uncovered is a weekly post where I show some cover love. Hope you enjoy!

Hello and happy Friday. Wow I can’t believe that it’s been a week since Halloween already. I wish it was Halloween again tonight but, alas, I just have to wait until next year. This week on Uncovered, I have the upcoming novel by Rachel Hawkins entitled Miss Mayhem. This is the second book in her Rebel Belle series. I like this cover because it’s not your typical YA book cover with a girl in a pretty dress. I mean, it is a girl in a dress, but you know what I mean. I haven’t read this series yet but the cover makes me think that the statue is some kind of trophy, maybe for a beauty pageant or something similar. The gold and red are a distinct color combination that jumps out at me. If I saw this cover in the store, I would definitely take a second look at it.

What do you guys think of this one? Also, this reminds me that I really should read Rebel Belle soon. I know I have a copy somewhere….
