Uncovered (131): Crimson Bound

Who says you can’t judge a book by its cover? While it’s not the only factor in picking up a book, a pretty cover doesn’t hurt. Uncovered is a weekly post where I show some cover love. Hope you enjoy!

Hello and happy Friday! This week went by pretty quickly, which I am happy about. My reading has been kind of slow the last few weeks so I am hoping to catch up on a few books this weekend. I hope you guys get in some good reading time, too. So this week on Uncovered, I have the new book from Cruel Beauty author Rosamund Hodge. Crimson Bound has the same wonderful fairy tale feel that her first novel did. I am a sucker for anything fairy tale related so I am really excited about this one.

I love this eye catching cover. It’s all about patterns and lines. The spiral steps create a bit of an optical illusion and the shadows and checkerboard floor at the bottom give the cover even more texture. I like how everything is grey, black and white except for the red and green. The red pops out especially since it’s just the one spot of color and the figure really stands out. This cover is mysterious and it makes me want to dive into it!

Is anyone else excited about this cover?
