Uncovered (130): Rogue Wave

Who says you can’t judge a book by its cover? While it’s not the only factor in picking up a book, a pretty cover doesn’t hurt. Uncovered is a weekly post where I show some cover love. Hope you enjoy!

Hello and happy Friday! This has seriously been the slowest week ever. I don’t know why but the days seemed to just crawl by. But I am so glad that it’s finally Friday. So today’s cover pick is Rogue Wave by Jennifer Donnelly. Rogue Wave is the sequel to Deep Blue, which I actually haven’t read yet.  I don’t usually go for these kinds of covers but I really like the colors in this one. The watercolor effect is really beautiful and I have a feeling that the colors are even better on the physical copy of the book. At first the girl looks like any normal girl but then you notice that there’s a tail coming out of her dress and not legs. Her boy language looks a little off but I’ll forgive because the rest of the cover is so pretty.

Have you guys read this series yet? I feel like I’ve heard positive things about it but I haven’t felt the urge to start it yet. Maybe with the next book in the series coming out, I’ll have more motivation to start it. Happy Friday, all!
