LA Times Festival of Books 2017 Recap

LA Times Festival of Books 2017 Recap

Hi, guys! The year is just flying by. Sorry I haven’t been around much. I moved recently and things are finally settling down. I hope that means I’ll have a bit more time to blog, but we shall see. We are getting into what my friend jokingly calls “con season” which starts off with the LA Times Festival of Books. This year’s festival took place, one again, on the USC campus. Unfortunately I was only able to go one day this year – Sunday – but I tried to make the most of it. I started off the day at… Read more »

2016 LA Times Festival of Books Recap

2016 LA Times Festival of Books Recap

Every year I look forward to the LA Times Festival of Books. A mecca for those who love to read, it’s an amazing event that boasts fantastic panels that covers poetry, romance, crime, young adult, cooking and everything in between. I really think that there is something for everyone at this festival. This year I was only able to go for one day (Sunday) but I made the most of it. By the end of the day we were pooped but very happy. Amazingly, I didn’t buy any books this year. There were a few that I was looking for,… Read more »

LA Times Festival of Books – Day 1 Recap

LA Times Festival of Books – Day 1 Recap

Hello! If you follow me on Intagram or Twitter, you may have noticed that this past weekend was the annual LA Times Festival of Books, aka Bookchella, aka Festival of Buying too many books, lugging them home and sneaking them inside. That last one is from my friend Kimberly. It’s a really fun but tiring event held on campus at the University of Southern California. Sometimes I only go for one day but this year’s line-up was too good and was there for the majority of both days. This year’s fest was heavily YA oriented for me. I am going to… Read more »

Stacked (102): LA Times Festival of Books Edition

Stacked (102): LA Times Festival of Books Edition

Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and The Story Siren, Stacked is a weekly post where I share with you the books that I’ve bought, borrowed or received for the week. Hi, guys! This edition of Stacked is really late because I wanted to show you my final book haul from the LA Times Festival of Books this weekend. I only got home about an hour ago and have to run off to a dinner in about 15 minutes so this is going to be short and sweet with no Goodreads links. I might be back in later this week to add them…. LA Times Festival of Books Recap – 2013 Edition

LA Times Festival of Books Recap – 2013 Edition

This post is (more than) a little bit overdue. I look forward to the LA Times Festival of Books every year. I mean, what’s more fun than a giant, free book festival? This year was a little different for me than previous years. I didn’t have a big agenda or a large list of panels or authors I wanted to see. I kind of wanted to just go and wing it. I was meeting some fun, bookish friends there and I was excited to just hang out and see what caught my eye. I only went on Saturday this year,… Read more »

Stacked (51): The One with Lemony Snicket

Good morning! Hope you’re all having a wonderful Sunday afternoon. I am still recovering a bit from Festival of Books yesterday. I wish I could go again today but I have so many errands and things to run that I am sitting today’s festivities out. But I do have some fun bookish goodies to share with you from the festival yesterday and some review books this week as well.  For Review (NetGalley) The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden & The Secret of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorensen – I have been heard really good things about this author and… Read more »
