Hello, everyone. I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday. It’s been uncommonly warm this weekend which has prompted me to get out of the house a bit. It’s hard to stay inside when it’s so pretty out. This week was a pretty small book acquisition week for me. I am fine with that though because I have so many books in the queue already. Both books I got this week are somewhat creepy sounding historicals. Haha guess I am in the mood for something dark.
The Painted Bridge by Wendy Wallace – This is my book club’s March pick. I have been wanting to read this one. It’s about a woman who gets sent to the insane asylum by her husband. Sounds like it could be really good.

The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd – I picked this up at the library this week. I was surprised that they actually had more than one copy. It’s the fictional account of the daughter of Dr. Moreau (yes, that Dr. Moreau). I have only read a few pages but they’ve already started talking about blood and cadavers. Definitely dark.

Not much else has been going on this week. I really wanted to see a movie or something silly this weekend but I don’t really want to see anything that is out. I guess I’ll just read instead. :) Have an awesome day!
