Hello and welcome to Stacked, a weekly (usually) post where I discuss what books I’ve recently bought, borrowed or received. Happy Monday, all! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. The weather report was right for once and it actually rained here in SoCal yesterday. It was quite a good rain, too, and went on for most of the day. I used that as an excuse to be extremely lazy and stayed in for the majority of the day. I got a lot of reading in and managed to finish 1 1/2 books, which was soooo nice. This week’s books are all review books from Edeleweiss. I try not to request too many review books these days but was browsing the site and had these books jump out at me. I’ve already read one and hope to review it soon.

Because of Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn – OMG a new historical by Julia Quinn based on the Bridgerton family! I love, loved the Bridgerton series and am so happy to see her coming back to them. This series is set before the original series begins.

Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oaks – Besides the beautiful cover, this book also boasts an intriguing premise. It’s the story of Alice in Wonderland told from the other side. I am always interested in the motivation of characters and the Queen of Hearts has always been so cruel in all of the other Alice stories that I am interested to see if the author can create a story that will make her more empathetic.

Reign of Shadows by Sophie Jordan – Another book with a gorgeous cover. This one is about a long lost princess who has to remain hidden and thought of as dead in order to survive. She is drawn out of hiding though when her sanctuary is attacked and she escapes with a mysterious archer. This one promises romance and royal intrigue, which I could not resist.

These Shallow Graves by Jennifer Donnolly – Picked this one up from the library over the weekend. This is about a young woman whose father dies under mysterious circumstances. She doesn’t believe the official cause of death and starts to investigate. Looks like a good creepy mystery and I have heard good things about Donnolly’s writing.

That’s my book haul for this week. I’d love to hear what you’ve been reading and adding to your bookshelf lately so let me know in the comments below. Happy reading!
