My 2014 Summer Reading List
Hi, everyone. I know that summer is almost halfway over at this point, but I had planned on doing a summer reading list last month and never got around to it. But I still wanted to share my summer reading list with you, so here it is.
Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews – I actually just read this a few weeks ago and it was awesome. I love this series and each book is like a little treat for my reading brain. I am sure I’ll be re-reading this one at some point.
The Summer I Turned Pretty series by Jenny Han – I feel like I am the last person who has not read this series. I am a big fan of Jenny Han as a person but have only read one of her books. I really need to change that though and plan on at least starting the Summer series while it’s still summer.
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson – Another author who I adore in person but whose books I have not read yet. I love how fun and summery this cover is. It looks like the perfect outdoor beach or picnic read.
Saga Vol 2 & 3 by Brian K Vaugh and Fiona Staples – Aghhhh – Saga! I tend to delay things that I really like, which is why I’ve held off so long in this series. However, I really want to read Volumes 2 and 3 soon because I can’t wait to see what happens.
Batgirl Vol 1 by Gail Simone – I really like Gail Simone but this is another one that I just haven’t gotten to yet. Simone is no longer writing the series but I want to catch up and see where she takes this character.
Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson – I’ve heard so many great things about this book and that pretty cover is just begging to be read!
Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers – I’ve been saving this one for a long weekend when I have some time to devote to it. I was so excited to get this at ALA and I cannot wait to finally read it.
Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple – My friend just picked this as the book club selection for August. This is nice for me since I’ve been meaning to read this one for at least the last year. I don’t know why but it seems like it would be a good summer read. I also like this cover a lot.
