Manicure Monday (6): The Madman’s Daughter

It’s Monday which means it’s manicure time. As you can see, I made myself a little graphic for this feature. I am not super happy with it but it’ll do for now. I never really thought this would be a feature that anyone else would want to participate but was super excited to find out that Beach Bum Reads did her very own MM last week. That gave me the thought that maybe other people might want to do their own MM posts. I am all about encouraging the nail polish love. So if you feel so inclined, feel free to grab this graphic and post your own Mani Monday post. Please link back to this blog in your post and leave me a link to your post in the comments so I can check it out. Alright, on to the fun stuff.

Here’s a little sneak peek of my book this week. Can you guys guess what it is?

The Madman's Daughter

If you guessed The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd, then you’re right! If you read my Sunday haul post you will remember that I checked out this book from the library last week. I decided to start it over the weekend and am making good progress. So far it’s pretty creepy and dark, which I enjoy.

The Madman's Daughter

On my nails is Illamasqua Scarab, a beautiful burnt brown red. It’s kind of a hard shade to explain but it seems to glow on my nails and is soooo pretty. I love Illamasqua and was lucky to find a bunch of their polish on sale this weekend. I think scarabs are pretty gross bugs in general. I don’t know what it is about them but they totally creep me out. At the very beginning of The Madman’s Daughter, the author actually mentions beetles and other bugs crawling around which made me think of this shade. It also matches the belt on the cover quite well. This cover is so pretty, too. Definitely one of my recent faves.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great week, everyone!
