In My Mailbox (18)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It gives book bloggers the chance to share what they’ve bought/borrowed/received! A friend of my friend went to ALA last week and came home with a box of books she didn’t want/need. I got to borrow a bunch of ARCs from that box, which I am very excited about.

For Review

A Tryst with Trouble by Alyssa Everette (Netgalley) – After Alethea read this and gave it a glowing review, I knew I had to read it. Thanks to NG for this one.

Starters by Lissa Price (Netgalley) – This book has been popping up on a lot of blogs lately. I am not a huge fan of the cover, but the premise is really interesting. We actually ran into author Lissa Price at the Megan Miranda signing this week. Can’t wait to read this one.

Bought

The San Francisco Chronicle Cookbook – Found this at Goodwill for $3. I am from SF and I can’t resist a good cookbook. Hoping to look through it this weekend.

Fracture by Megan Miranda – Megan was signing at Vromans this week and I was lucky enough to be able to go. She was super sweet and I got my copy signed!

Borrowed

Emmy and the Rats in the Bellfry for Lynne Jonell – Totally a case where I picked this up based on cover alone.

Wildwood by Colin Melloy & Carson Ellis – I’ve been wanting to read this for awhile.

The Peculiars by Maureen Doyle McQueery – ARC borrowed from my friend. I just love the cover and it sounds good!

The Secret Letters by Leah Sheier – Intrigue and a connection to Sherlock Holmes. Sign me up!

Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers – Can you believe I’ve never read a Courtney Summers book? Must remedy that.

BZRK by Michael Grant – This book looks intense. I haven’t read any Michael Grant before but have heard only awesome things.

You Slay Me by Katie MacAlister – A fun looking romance/paranormal series that I have heard good things about.

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead (library ebook) – I love Vampire Academy and can’t wait to read this one.

Won

Geek Wisdom – I am pretty geeky and I was lucky enough to win this book. It looks like a fun read.

That’s what I have this week, kids. What’s in your mailbox?
