I’m really behind in my trailer game, which is funny because every time I go to the movies (which is almost every week), I have to sit through at least 20 minutes of trailers. I like a good trailer as much as the next person but I wish they would start before the movie showtime or show fewer of them. Anyways, I’ve seen a couple of trailers now for Crimson Peak, the upcoming film by Guillermo del Toro. I must have been hiding under a rock because I had no idea this was even being made until I saw the trailer…. Read more »

Ahhhh! I am a big fan of Aardman Studios (who do the Wallace and Gromit films) and have been a fan of Shaun the Sheep for a while as well. As a knitter, I really can’t resist this adorable sheep who gets into all kinds of trouble. Shaun is getting his own film in August and I can’t wait! In the film, Shaun heads to the city to search for his missing Farmer. Shenanigans ensue. Is anyone else out there a fan of Shaun the Sheep? I’ll be taking my knitting to the movies with me when I go see… Read more »
Hmmm so this post has been sitting in my drafts for the last month or so. I must have forgotten about it somewhere along the line but I guess it’s better late than never. I just saw a trailer for the movie again over the weekend and I think they are making a big push for it to be the big Memorial Day movie. I don’t think I have ever been on the Tomorrowland ride on which this movie is based, but I want to see it anyway. I am always down for something slightly fantastic and George Clooney doesn’t… Read more »
I am a huge fan of Jurassic Park and, even though the sequels haven’t been as good, I get really excited whenever there is a new installment. Jurassic World is set to hit theaters this June and a new trailer just dropped. This one is set quite a bit after the last installment and shows the park as a successful theme park. Of course things go awry when the powers that be try to up the ante with some genetic dino testing. Chris Pratt looks great in this and the dinosaurs look fantastic. I also like that B.D. Wong makes… Read more »
Ooh yes! BBC just released a scene from Season 3 of Orphan Black which starts again on April 18. I love this show so much and cannot wait for it to come back. This scene is super creepy and reminds me of how awesome Tatiana Maslany is. Who else is excited about Season 3?
Have you guys seen the new trailer for The DUFF, which is based on the YA novel by Kody Keplinger? I read The DUFF a couple of years ago and really liked it. I have some mixed feelings about the movie though. On one hand, it looks like the changed to story to be some sort of makeover movie, which is different than the book. On the other hand, it looks like a really funny high school comedy and I like Mae Whitman. I will just have to try to remember that the book and movie are totally separate entities… Read more »
I’ve been meaning to post this trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron a couple of weeks now but have only just now managed to do it. I don’t have much to say about it. I love a good super hero movie no doubt I will be seeing this when it comes out. It definitely looks darker than the last Avengers film but sequels tend to do that. It’s like now it’s time to get serious. :)
I recently saw the new trailer for Pan when I was out seeing Night at the Museum 3 (which was cute). I had not really heard anything about this new version of the classic Peter Pan fairy tale and was quite impressed with the trailer. It looks like it is going to be dark, epic and magical – all things I love. It also has Hugh Jackman, which is always a win for me. Anyone else excited about Pan?
You know I can’t resist a good animated film and the trailer for The Little Prince looks really promising. I like the mixed media feel with the different animation styles. I haven’t read this book in ages and, seeing this trailer makes me want to re-read it. Unfortunately it will be almost a full year before the movie is released. Hopefully there will be some new trailers and footage released in the meantime. I think this looks very promising and I am looking forward to it. Anyone else out there a fan of The Little Prince?
Disney just released the first trailer for their upcoming live action adaptation of Cinderella. What do you guys think? Personally, while I think this looks great visually (love those costumes!), I don’t see anything here that would really compel me to see the film. I love a good fairy tale but this doesn’t seem to tread any new or innovative ground. Cate Blanchett is a draw and it’s directed by Kenneth Branaugh so there’s a good chance I’ll probably go see it at some point despite my ho-hum response to this trailer. I just want to manage my expectations. Watching… Read more »
