Manicure Monday (86): Fire Kin
Hi and welcome to Manicure Monday, a feature that combines my love of reading and nail polish. Each week I’ll showcase one of my current reads along with a matching book manicure.
Hi, everyone. Welcome to the first Manicure Monday of 2015. If you follow me on social media you might have guessed what today’s book was going to be. It’s Fire Kin by M.J. Scott. I think I’ve done a manicure for 3 out of the 4 books in this series. This is the last book though and I am having lots of fun reading it so far.
This was a really easy manicure to do. Started off with two coats of Zoya Yuna, this beautiful dark grey with a really unique green/gold shimmer. I thought that it matched well the dress on the cover.
Next I picked a stamping plate that I thought matched the pattern on the dress. It’s kind of hard to tell what the pattern actually is but I chose a simple floral pattern. I used Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-419 and CND Chrome polish and stamped each nail.
The silver was pretty bright so I sponged over the stamp afterwards with Yuna again to give it a more weathered look. A coat of top coat and it was done!
I know I have talked about this series a lot but I really like it. Scott has a new book coming out this year which I have already pre-ordered. :) Thanks for checking out today’s manicure. Happy Monday, everyone!
