Manicure Monday (76): Mortal Danger
Hi and welcome to Manicure Monday, a feature that combines my love of reading and nail polish. Each week I’ll showcase one of my current reads along with a matching book manicure.
Hello and happy Monday! I hope you have all had some cooler weather than I’ve been having. It was over 100 degrees this weekend, which is really not cool. I can’t wait until fall is properly here. This week’s manicure was inspired by Mortal Danger by Ann Aguirre. I picked this book up at ALA earlier this summer but am only now getting to start it. I just started it yesterday so I am not very far into yet, but I like it so far.
To create this look, I started off with 2 coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, a white creme with a slight grey cast. Next, using a beauty sponge, I added distressed accents with a black creme polish, Zoya Corey (light grey) and red acrylic paint.
Then using the same red acrylic paint, I used a small nail brush to paint the infinity symbol going over my ring and middle finger. I added a few “drops” of blood to mimic the look on the cover. A layer of top coat and I was done!
I liked this manicure a lot and it was really easy to do.Let me know what you guys think of this manicure in the comments below! :)
