Favorite Films of 2015

January 29, 2016 Lists, Movies & TV, Thuy 4

Hello there. Sorry for the last of posts this week. I totally meant to blog but, somehow, the week got away from me and now it’s Friday. I know it’s a bit late for a best of 2015 list (as it’s almost February) but I had this list made up a while ago and forgot to post it. I figured I would share it with all of you here just for fun. This wasn’t a great film year for me. I know there were lots of good movies released but many of them just didn’t interest and so I stuck to my tried and true genres of sci-fi and action. There were some surprises on my list (like Spy and Blacksea). I had a hard time picking between Mad Max and Ex Machina for the top spot but ended up going with Mad Max because of the sheer spectacle of it. I’d love to hear what your favorite movies of 2015 so let me know in the comments below!

  1. Mad Max
  2. Ex Machina
  3. The Martian
  4. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  5. Spy
  6. Inside Out
  7. Jurassic World
  8. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
  9. The Duff
  10. Black Sea

You watched a lot of amazing movies this month! I also watched Mad Max on the first week of January and I absolutely fell in love with it. The cinematography and the scenes were phenomenal. Same goes for Star Wars!

I really want to watch The Martian but I’m waiting until I’ve read the book since my friend told me that it was much better than the film.

Hope you’ll get to watch more awesome movies next month!

I wanted to wait and read The Martian before seeing the movie, too, but it didn’t look like that was happening anytime soon and I had the opportunity to see the movie, so I took it. I hope you like the book though (and the movie) when you get to it.

We have very similar taste in movies- go us! Andrew is obsessed with Mad Max but I still haven’t seen it :( Loved all the rest of the movies on your list, and saw Star Wars and Spy twice. The only other ones I haven’t seen are Ex Machina and Black Sea. Hope 2016 brings more awesome movies our way!

I think you guys will really like Ex Machina. Black Sea was such an interesting movie. Definitely not your typical Hollywood feature. Long periods of time in confined spaces is never a good idea…
