Stacked (151)

December 16, 2015 Stacked 1

Hello and welcome to Stacked, a weekly (usually) post where I discuss what books I’ve recently bought, borrowed or received. This week’s books are all ebooks that I either purchased or got from the Overdrive via my local library. I haven’t had a lot of time to read lately but I am hoping to get some time in this weekend and over the upcoming holidays.

Lord Dashwood Missed Out by Tessa Dare – Tessa Dare is an auto-buy author for me and I really enjoy reading novellas during this time of year when I feel like I rarely have the time or attention span to give to a whole novel. This novella is the story of how one young woman turns a rejection into a new path for herself.

Magic Stars by Ilona Andrews – Kate Daniels fans have been asking for a Derek solo story for a while, and we finally have it. I really can’t wait to read this short featuring Derek and Julie, Kate’s adopted niece.

Slasher Girls & Monster Boys by Various – This is a short story anthology featuring some really awesome YA authors. As you can tell from the title, most of these stories are on the scarier side.

The Rose Society by Marie Lu – This is book 2 in Marie Lu’s newest YA series. I have to admit that I haven’t read the first book, The Young Elites, yet, but it’s totally on my TBR list. Hopefully I will get to it in the next month or two.

Those are all of the books I have acquired lately. I find that I have been buying more eBooks lately because I’ve been traveling and like to have lots of books ready on the go. What’s been in your mailbox lately?

  • I know what you mean about ebooks- they really are great on the go, and I like to read them before bed too. You picked up some awesome selections! I’m with you on needing to read the two Marie Lu books. And novellas are a great idea for when you don’t have a lot of time. Hope these books are all winners for you, Thuy!
